As the spring winds up in all its sunny glory, I’m reminded of how wonderful it is to relax outside. Do it with a book, or a bagged lunch, or just with a cup of coffee.
In Kingston, there are a few great spots to take a break from work and relax outside. The Academy Green park has a few benches, but the best place to sit is between the statues (see picture).
Another great spot is the Peace Park, which is wonderfully sunny. Also uptown is the Senate House, which has a few shaded spots with benches. Downtown, the Rondout is terffic, but Cornell Park is also incredibly scenic.
Hey, I just had an idea. Is anyone familiar with Google Maps? Maybe we can get a few volunteers to map out all of the parks. Let me know if you can help.
In the meantime, pull up a bench and relax.
