THE HUDSON VALLEY LGBTQ COMMUNITY CENTER
The city of Kingston is home to the only gay and lesbian community center in the Hudson Valley! For many years gay and lesbian residents of the HV lived their lives as contributing members of the larger community and in doing so laid the foundation for today's vibrant lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community.

ARTIST SOAPBOX DERBY
This eclectic event has grown from an eccentric little diversion into a full-blown artistic experience that attracts thousands of people to Kingston and introduces many to the Mid-Hudson Valley. During the past thirteen years, the City of Kingston and event organizers have put together a group of volunteers and city employees who have evolved into an efficient team with the capacity to produce a highly professionally organized, safe and entertaining event.
